Born and Brought up in a lower-middle-class family in Varanasi, I came across many difficulties during my studies. I understand how poverty eliminates opportunities for a child and pull his lifelong into this vicious cycle. I believe the only way to uplift the underprivileged is through the public system and no other institutions rather than public system have that capacity to reach the person standing last. So, we must strengthen the system and transform it to perform optimally.
I was privileged to be associated with Ramkrishna Mission and the teachings of Shri Ramkrishna Paramhamsha and Swami Vivekananda since my childhood, from there I developed my interest in the development sector against the will of my family.
I completed my graduation in Economics honours from Banaras Hindu University, then joined Gandhi Fellowship to get some grassroots experience and sharpen my skills. I also worked with Drishtee Foundation to understand the nuance of livelihood and understand the challenges of the field. I am an individual who is ready to take risks for the betterment of society and the organisation I work for. I love taking on challenges and finding bottlenecks and their solution. Patience & Perseverance is my strength.
I am confident that PPIA Fellowship will help me in building more understanding of the system, policies and their implementation on the ground and will allow me to add some value to it.
