Education: National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)
Last Employer: Raymond, Karnataka

I am a highly motivated and erudite professional with a strong background in apparel technology and a track record of making a significant impact in various organizations. My journey began with my graduation from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in 2018, where I honed my skills and developed a passion for the apparel industry. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with several notable companies, namely Evangelical Social Action Forum (ESAF), Choudhry Enterprises (Autokame), and Silver Spark Apparel Ltd (Raymond).

Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to solve complex problems with a calculated and methodical approach. I take pride in my capacity to work both independently and as part of a team, valuing the synergy that collaborative efforts bring to the table. My extensive experience in the industry has provided me with a deep understanding of critical aspects such as quality assurance, standardization, and employee training, making me proficient in human resource management.

One of the most exciting developments in the textile industry has been the emergence of rural India as a burgeoning hub for this sector. It presents a unique opportunity for labor transition from primary to secondary industries in the remotest regions of the Indian subcontinent. Micro, Small, and Medium Industries (MSMEs) have played a pivotal role in this transformation, driving economic growth and fostering local development.

I see the Public Policy in Action (PPIA) fellowship as an ideal platform to leverage my problem-solving skills and extensive experience in the apparel industry for maximum impact. This fellowship offers the perfect convergence of my passion for textiles and my desire to contribute to the growth and development of rural India. By participating in this program, I aim to work closely with MSMEs in rural areas, helping them enhance their operational efficiency, implement best practices in quality control, and provide valuable training to their workforce.

My goal is to empower these local enterprises, stimulate economic growth, and create a positive social impact in the textile sector. Through the PPIA fellowship, I aspire to be a catalyst for change and contribute to the sustainable development of the textile industry in rural India. Together, we can seize this remarkable opportunity and drive meaningful progress in these underserved regions, ultimately transforming lives and communities.
